recycle & reuse

been a whirlwind these last few weeks and this is just a quick touchdown in between trips.  one of the areas that i am also passionate about is the environment and protecting the earth's resources so that the billions of us who live on it will be able to enjoy it for a very long time.

with my arts & crafts i try to repurpose things - reuse paper/ribbon/boxes, use found objects  or find new uses.  one of the things i repurpose are cool magazine images or stock book photos for cd covers and gift wrapping paper.  one of my favorite craft stores that has the pleasure of accepting a lot of my money over my lifetime is paper source and they too shared the idea of repurposing with their calendars by stamping on the back of them templates for file folders, A4 cards, gift cards and pillow boxes.

so of course i did that with my old calendar and attached is sample of a simple valentine pillow box that i gave as a gift.  endless possibilities with these beautiful calendars but what i loved is that they drew the outlines for me so all i have to do is cut away.  it's the little things that keep us happy and stress-free.
be well and cheers!
